As part of the re-lighting of Gemini II, a sculpture which was commissioned by the Houston Endowment in 1966 and has been hanging in Jones Hall for 42 years, G2LD needed to work within the envelope of the existing Jones Hall lobby and consider the theater patrons which would be viewing the piece from all angles and multiple levels. Carefully placed and focused, theatrical fixtures were chosen for their ability to throw strong beams long distances and to be highly focused without throwing extraneous light. Because of this, the delicate, web-like structure made of aluminum and wire, appears to float throughout the expansive lobby.
